The Tschumipavilion as an instrument or sound box. The pavilion is resonating by means of 256 ticking devices or computer-controlled solenoids, providing a controlled rhythm. In “Tag” by Marion de Laat, architecture, rhythm and time all coincide. By means of the installation of the solenoids, the Tschumipavilion functions as an 18 m. glass sound box producing its own sound.
