The pavilion is transformed into a new object; an ensemble of darkened parts, and parts that are, on the contrary, illuminated from within. In this way, a Fremdkorper is formed in the public space of Groningen. On the outside of the pavilion a diagonal form was applied with latex paint. Inside the pavilion a smoke machine blows liquid paraffine into the space. Two theatre lamps light the smoke with changing colours, which gives the light volume. Seen from the outside, this causes a sharp contrast between the painted and the transparent part.
