120 plates of acrylic glass of 40 cm2, with drawings or icons, made by means of wax. These unique icons refer to media, history, politics and culture. At the bottom of every acrylic plate a red strip of LEDs was applied. As soon as the LEDs lighten up, their light beams through the glass. As the drawings or icons of wax are retaining the light, they lighten up.In the pavilion, five groups of twenty four icons were placed, all of which can be switched on and off separately. The groups were regulated in such a way that together they end up in five-letter words. At a distance of the pavilion, the letters and words are clearly recognisable. From a closer distance, the icons prevail. In this way, Words appears to be ambiguous and legible on different levels.
